Bentley Potter School of Dance
FAQ
At Bentley Potter we get a lot of questions by parents and students concerning the criteria for entry into the Major RAD levels, and the school’s company, The Cascade Festival Ballet. We have highlighted here the key criteria in the hopes of shedding light on the process taken to enter these new levels.
The Cascade Festival Ballet

To become a junior member of the company, the students must be currently working within the Major Level of the RAD. This is necessary to ensure and maintain a high level of proficiency.
Students are invited to join the Cascade Festival Ballet if they have shown the ability to consistently keep up their technical standard and performance at the RAD level and when they have positively shown regular attendance, discipline, commitment and dedication required for this venture.

Selection for Major level classes

This is based on the technical ability shown by the students in the upper classes of the school.
The teachers decide if and when the time is right for a young student to enter the more demanding regime of the RAD Major classes.
Promotion into these classes can happen during the school year at any time, and all our students are eligible, provided they answer the criteria of the RAD Major levels of classical ballet.
